Gosh…Did I mention how much I adore doing engagement shoots?
All of my full-day wedding photography packages include a free engagement session. Although this is fully complimentary (and only about 40% of my couples opt to go ahead with it), it’s the perfect way to get used to me and my camera. I’ve found the biggest difference between my couples who have opted for their engagement shoot versus those who haven’t when it comes to their wedding days. The usual pre-photo nerves are gotten out of the way during the engagement session making the wedding day a total breeze; it means you don’t have the pressure of a wedding day on your shoulders when you’re first in front of a camera!
Like with virtually all of my couples, Hannah and Scott were very nervous in front of the camera at the start. However after a few (what I like to call) ‘trial shots’, they very quickly fell into the motions and – according to them, had “so much fun”.
Bonus points? They also brought along their adorable 2 year old Cockapoo. As a huge dog lover (and owner of a golden retriever pup!) it was very hard to avoid getting distracted by Buddy’s cute face the whole afternoon…So there may be a couple of him squeezed into this gallery too!
