Peak District Elopement Photographer
If you’re looking to elope in the UK, the Peak District should absolutely be on your list of ventures! This area of the UK offers so much versatility as well as breathtaking, sweeping views from mountaintops. The Peak District was the easiest location choice for Bea and James’ elopement.
As far as elopements locations in the UK go, the Peak District is easily one of the best. It offers a range of gorgeous mountains to hike, stunning waterfalls and winding roads to give you just about everything you could hope for.
One of the best parts about planning an elopement is the amount of involvement your photographer can have (we love to help where you want us to!)
Bea and James were very flexible with their plans and actually let their elopement photographer (ahem…me!) take the lead on this one. I recommended a few spots to them both, but it was clear that hiking around the Peak District was a clear winner. Who could blame them?!
Brace yourself for cliff-edges, rolling waterfalls and mountainous roads.

Anyone else feeling up for a location change to the Peaks?!
The Peak District really does have it all. This amazing range is what made us decide on not one, but three different locations for Bea and James’ elopement.
I might be from Suffolk, but can I please be a Peak District wedding photographer? Pretty please with cream and sprinkles on top!
Now it goes without saying that I probably shouldn’t go any further without talking about the magical couple themselves. I’ll definitely take that one! Bea and James are utterly incredible (no, seriously!) They have the most calming yet fun nature. They’re the kind of couple who you can spend an entire day with and it would fly by. How do I know? Because that’s precisely what happened on their elopement!
I'll give James some credit for turning up and wearing a beautiful suit (and smile too, of course!) but it has to be said that myself and Bea did most of the planning on their day. It's safe to say we got rather carried away with planning their elopement. But who can blame us?!
Elopements and intimate weddings offer something so special; you have the opportunity to do whatever you'd like to do on your day. Want to have your wedding dinner at McDonalds? Great! Want to wake up at 3am to capture a sunrise mountain shoot in your wedding attire? Awesome - hit me up!
In fact, it's thjis flexibility that makes me want to be a full time elopement photographer. Don't get me wrong, I love a good wedding. However, there is something so special about being able to plan your wedding day however you would like; mountains, waterfalls and rocks aplenty.
