After a year and a half of rescheduled weddings, cancelled engagement shoots and barely getting the camera out – it felt so good to be able to capture an engagement shoot again! Emma and Rupert’s photo session was actually my first of the year and I couldn’t have asked for a more fun, bubbly and lovely couple!
Thetford Forest is, understandably, a very popular location for my pre-wedding shoots. The location is so versatile to getting a range of different shots and that’s definitely one of the best parts about capturing there!
After a few hilarious phone calls desperately trying to guide them both to the right place (it definitely helps if you’ve been there a few times as it’s such a maze so incredibly easy to get lost!) we eventually met up and began capturing!
Like most of my couples, Emma and Rupert were feeling quite nervous about the prospect of having two cameras on them for the next few hours! This is one of the main reasons as to why I offer a complimentary pre-wedding shoot to all of my couples who book me for their wedding day; it gives them experience in front of the camera, they get to see how they really look in my photos without the pressure of it being the wedding day and it gets them used to the way I work too! As with my weddings, I like to keep engagement shoots really relaxed and easy-going! You won’t catch me saying “now both look at me and say ‘cheese'” all day! We’ll go for a walk, have a chat, play some games and get any nervous giggles you may have in front of the camera out of the way!
I can’t wait to capture Emma and Rupert’s beautiful wedding day at Fanhams Hall next year!
