Rebecca and Esme’s love for each other (and love for adventure) was the most beautiful thing to witness on their elopement in the Lake District. Having met two years ago at a work Christmas party, these two have been inseparable ever since and their intimate wedding couldn’t have been more ‘them’.
The Lake District is becoming an increasingly popular spot for couples to elope and have their intimate weddings at. Boasting beautiful mountains and endless lakes, it’s a spot of the UK which is a true untouched gem. The Langdales, just outside of Windermere, was the perfect spot for Rebecca and Esme’s intimate elopement.

The Langdales, just outside of Windermere, was the perfect spot for Rebecca and Esme’s intimate elopement. As an elopement photographer, I work with all my couples to help them plan the elopement of their dreams. As Rebecca and Esme have a huge love for adventure, it was so important for us to incorporate this into their elopement shoot. Eager eyes will spot some of their couples portraits actually in the lake towards the end of the shoot and this was the perfect reflection of their personalities. The Langdales is nestled into the Cumbrian countryside and worked perfectly for an elopement spot.
The Lake District offered the most amazing depth of vast landscapes with the intimacy of a quiet, small tarn for their portraits. Starting with their hand fastening ceremony, Rebecca and Esme shared private vows overlooking the small waterfront. The tranquility of the lake made for a beautiful moment shared between them, taking in the beautiful surroundings as they shared their intimate ceremony. As the ceremony concluded, Rebecca and Esme began adventuring around the tarn which gave us the most beautiful sweeping landscapes for their portraits together. Once their elopement day was coming to a close, they had the perfect wedding breakfast elopement table set up from a distance of the tarn. This gave them the most beautiful end to their elopement, overlooking Windermere water from afar and taking in the newlywed bliss.
