Durdle Door, UK Elopement
As a UK elopement photographer, it’s fair to say I’m lucky enough to capture some of the most stunning elopements all around the UK (and beyond!) Zee and Nav’s elopement was absolutely no different!
I’ve captured elopements all around the UK, but Zee and Nav’s intimate elopement day took me to the popular spot: Durdle Door, in Dorset. The Dorset coastline – aptly named the ‘jurassic coast’ is the perfect spot for an elopement with a Mediterranean feeling twist. In fact, with the gorgeous scenery, blue seas and stunning cliff lines, Durdle Door is an elopement photographers dream!

Elopements in the UK are more commonly celebrated in the North of the UK; elopements are a legal possibility if eloping in Scotland without the need of a registry office. This isn’t to say that you can’t elope in other spots around the UK, it just requires a tiny bit more planning! If you carry out ‘the legal bit’ in a registry office beforehand, you can elope absolutely anywhere in the UK! Having captured elopements in Scotland, The Lake District and The Peak District in the past, it was beautiful to be able to capture an elopement in Dorset. The wonderful Zee and Nav were able to elope on the gorgeous coastline and, despite the torrential rain, we had an absolute blast of an adventure!
