Being a Scotland elopement photographer is one of the most rewarding and jaw-dropping things I’ve ever done as a photographer. Arguably out of all of Scotland, the Isle of Skye is one of the most picturesque locations on Scotland to elope. In fact, the Isle of Skye is so beautiful that I target being an elopement photographer on the Isle of Skye as much as humanly possible (I love it that much!)
If you’re looking to elope in Scotland and want the natural beauty of mountain ranges with the intimacy of green spiritual areas, the Isle of Skye may be at the top of your elopement list! The Isle of Skye is one of the most popular locations within Scotland to elope and I can’t say I’m surprised. You only need to spend an hour in this scenic part of Scotland to understand the appeal it has to eloping couples.

Gem and Sam’s elopement on the Isle of Skye was truly unforgettable. Starting their day with a celebrant led ceremony overlooking the whispering valley of Quiraing, Gem and Sam read intimate vows to each other overlooking the dramatic landscape. Quiraing is one of the most popular locations on the Isle of Skye to elope; in fact, whilst saying “I do” we could spot a couple in the far distance doing the same in the lower valley. Boasting huge sheer mountains to the wild openness of the valley, Quiraing was the most perfect ceremony spot for Gem and Sam’s elopement.
Of course we couldn’t let Gem and Sam have a Scotland elopement without capturing the famous Quiraing road,. A dramatic wind down the Quiraing summit is one of the main entrances to Quiraing but also makes for a stunning landscape shot for any eloping couples!

We’ve spoken a lot about Quiraing so far – and it’s no surprise given it’s one of the most popular Isle of Skye elopement spots! However, Gem and Sam didn’t just explore Quiraing on their Scottish elopement. In fact, there’s plenty more Skye adventure where these two and their elopement is concerned!
Following on from their gorgeously intimate Quiraing ceremony, we travelled through to a gorgeous hidden spot I know of on Skye. Being an Isle of Skye elopement photographer always has its huge perks in knowing stunning hidden spots off the beaten track, in case you want moments of calm amongst the tourism!
This breathtaking spot on the Isle of Skye is a perfect stopover on the drive to The Fairy Pools and makes for a perfect elopement spot. For Gem and Sam, we just grabbed a breather and wander through, whilst grabbing some portraits, but an intimate ceremony or elopement meal would be perfect here!
Boasting the spectacular Cullian mountains, the drama makes for the most divine contrast with the intimacy of an elopement and the stunning river that runs through the hike.

Finally, Gem and Sam were able to visit the stunning Fairy Glen for a lunch stop during their elopement adventure! The Fairy Glen is one of the most unique elopement spots on the Isle of Skye due to its whimsical and spiritual connotations explored by many on Skye. The Fairy Glen is based just outside Uig and is the perfect elopement spot for those wanting a spiritual elopement moment to share.
Finally, a Scotland elopement wouldn’t be complete without visiting one of my favourite spots on the Isle of Skye (I promise it’s not compulsory, but when you see it perhaps you’ll agree with me!) The Fairy Pools is arguably the most spectacular locations on the Isle of Skye and it’s always one of my top recommendations to couples eloping on the Isle of Skye. Within Glenbrittle, the drive to The Fairy Pools is arguably just as much fun as the spot itself so if you’re a couple craving an adventurous elopement this may just add to the fun on your day! Located the opposite side to the black Cullin mountains, The Fairy Pools is a stunning elopement spot on the Isle of Skye.
Coming down from the Cullin mountains, The Fairy Pools are natural spring water pools and waterfalls that have been created to produce one of the most stunning natural spots on the Isle of Skye. The Fairy Pools is a fantastic spot for your elopement and could easily be used for an intimate ceremony; but if you’re like Gem and Sam, this was their last spot on their elopement and was the perfect end to an adventure. We took a short hike towards the Cullin mountains and grabbed some final elopement portraits for them – I really don’t think anything says more “Skye” or “Scotland elopement” as The Fairy Pools!
