Capturing elopements on the Isle of Skye really is one of the most spectacular aspects of being a Scotland elopement photographer. The Isle of Skye is arguably the most popular area of Scotland for eloping couples and who can be surprised? From its rugged mountain ranges to peaceful waterfalls, the Isle of Skye is one of the most gorgeous places in the UK!

If, like lots of my elopement couples, you’re looking to elope on the Isle of Skye I think Aine and Tommy’s elopement may just give you all the elopement inspiration you may ever need! Aine and Tommy’s elopement started off with an intimate elopement overlooking the Quiraing mountains. Similarly to a lot of couples visiting the Isle of Skye for their elopement, these two just had a blessing where they shared their own vows; this is a popular choice for a lot of couples wanting the legal part of an elopement separate from the elopement day itself and it worked perfectly for Aine and Tommy’s elopement day!

The drama from the spectacular Quiraing mountains is one that really can’t be missed when eloping! If you’re eloping with a sense of adventure, then Quiraing really is the perfect spot to add in to your elopement. One of the beauties of Quiraing is the versatility it offers couples eloping; either a long all-day hike or a quick 20 minute photo spot depending on your elopement style!

Quiraing is arguably one of the best elopement locations on the Isle of Skye that can offer both dramatic landscapes and intimate portraits. Aine and Tommy were able to share some private vows overlooking the spectacular lochs in the valley, whilst also catching some elopement portraits during a short hike back from their ceremony spot!

It’s likely that if you’re considering eloping on the Isle of Skye, then The Old Man of Storr has probably made it to your search history. Unsurprisingly, Old Man of Storr captivates couples eloping from far and wide and is the perfect elopement spot for couples wanting to target either a sunrise or sunset on their elopement day. Boasting a rather steep hike (around 2 – 2.5 hours in total), the Old Man of Storr really isn’t one that can be disregarded if you’re a couple who are hoping for an adventurous elopement day. With some of the most spectacularly dramatic landscapes on the whole of the Isle of Skye, The Old Man of Storr is one of my top recommendations for adventurous elopements.

Whilst Aine and Tommy actually hiked The Old Man of Storr during the middle of their elopement (equally just as beautiful!) you can get some of the prettiest Scotland sunsets at this spot, which only adds to the dramatic rock faces that The Old Man of Storr is famous for.

The Old Man of Storr was one of the main activities on Aine and Tommy’s elopement. Loving a good hike, this was one of the best spots on the Isle of Skye to add in to their elopement. Plus, it made for some of the most spectacular elopement photos; what’s not to love?

Finally, Aine and Tommy’s elopement ended with a trip to the gorgeous Fairy Pools. If you’ve visited the Isle of Skye before, it’s very likely you’ll have popped a visit to The Fairy Pools. Arguably one of the most picturesque locations on the Isle of Skye, The Fairy Pools is my favourite location to capture elopements. With the dramatic Cullin mountains in the backdrop, to the calm waterfalls and pools; The Fairy Pools is one of the most beautiful spots on the Isle of Skye!

Whilst perfect for elopements with a more gentle and intimate approach, those seeking an adventurous elopement shouldn’t be put off by The Fairy Pools calm exterior. The Fairy Pools is not only breathtaking, but it’s also one of the most versatile natural locations on the Isle of Skye when it comes to eloping. The Fairy Pools can be visited for a short stroll in an evening, or a far longer hike up through the mountains depending on your elopement day and plans!

The Fairy Pools is always a location on the Isle of Skye that I recommend for eloping and hopefully the photos will speak wonders for why!
