Where Scotland elopements are concerned, Glencoe is one of the most spectacular locations within Scotland to elope. If you’re looking for grand mountain ranges, dramatic landscapes and jaw-dropping scenery for your elopement, Glencoe is easily one of the most gorgeous spots to consider eloping. As a Scotland elopement photographer, nothing gives me greater happy jumps (seriously!) than a couple looking to elope in the stunning Glencoe mountains.

It goes without saying, but one of the best aspects of eloping is being able to decide exactly what you want to do on your day, where you want to do it and the locations you want to use for your elopement too. Eve and Callum’s elopement day took in some of the most gorgeous elopement spots in Glencoe. Eve and Callum had an intimate elopement ceremony at Glen Etive, arguably one of the most scenic parts of Glencoe – and the perfect spot for their elopement ceremony.
Glen Etive may ring some bells for those with eagle eyes, as Glen Etive was used in the final few scenes of the James Bond ‘Skyfall’ film, the most wonderful backdrop to contrast with Eve and Callum’s intimate ceremony. Once their celebrant-led ceremony had finished (queue some beautiful vows!!), we took advantage of this stunning Glencoe spot and captured some portraits at Glen Etive with Etive Loch in the backdrop.
Glen Etive is the perfect spot for those eloping in Glencoe. For Eve and Callum, Glen Etive (close to Loch Etive) was the most picturesque location for their elopement ceremony and it couldn’t have looked more wonderful. The contrast of the dramatic Glencoe mountains to the intimate vows was the most wonderful addition to their elopement adventure!
For those seeking an adventurous elopement (or those who are just fans of James Bond!) the drive to Loch Etive is arguably the most dramatic and spectacular scenery in all of Glencoe, so it really is a perfect addition to any Glencoe elopement. Equally, being surrounded by many Glencoe mountains, Glen Etive is a great spot for a hiking elopement as well as a quick photo spot!

If you’re looking to elope in Scotland, or more specifically having a Glencoe elopement, it’s more than likely you will have seen ‘the wee house’ and the Three Sisters Mountains on your research. It’s no surprise, the drama from the Glencoe mountains contrasted with ‘the wee house’ is one of my absolute favourites! In fact, this little spot is one of my top recommendations to couples eloping in Glencoe. For a Glencoe elopement, the Three Sisters mountains (and virtually all surrounding areas) are the perfect ‘go to’ for your elopement. With such an expanse of walks, it’s great for couples wanting a 10 minute easy stroll to those wanting to spend their elopement day hiking in the rural Glencoe mountains!

Now I know I’ve already said that this spot was one of my favourites as a Glencoe elopement photographer in Scotland, but I think given the amount of photos I’ve included it’s likely become overwhelmingly obvious. Am I right?
The Three Sisters mountains is a perfect elopement location in Glencoe all year round due to the ever changing colours and scenery surrounding the Glencoe rock face. Equally, this is always an excellent choice for your Scotland elopement as it accommodates any weather (yes, even the torrential Scottish rain!) perfectly.

Being a Scotland elopement photographer doesn’t just mean hiring me to capture those raw, emotional and landscape adventures on your day. As an elopement photographer, I can also recommend locations for your elopement – from the most picturesque and popular to the hidden and peaceful. Having captured gorgeous elopements on Glencoe and the Isle of Skye, I know some amazing hidden gems which are perfect locations for couples eloping in Scotland.
One of my favourite hidden spots for Glencoe elopements is below. Despite Eve and Callum’s elopement being at the end of May, eagle eyed viewers will be able to spot some snow left on the Glencoe mountains in the background. This location is one of my favourite recommendations for couples eloping in Glencoe due to both its hidden nature but also accessibility (less than 5 minutes from the car!) In fact, most of Glencoe is suited perfectly to eloping couples due to its often accessible and linked mountains and pathways. Glencoe is easily one of the most spectacular and adventurous locations in Scotland to elope!
