There’s something about a Seckford Hall wedding that feels effortlessly timeless — the history, the gardens, and the soft Suffolk light make it a dream setting for any couple. And for Chloe and Fred’s black-tie celebration, it was exactly that: elegant, emotional, and beautifully full of joy.
As a Suffolk wedding photographer, I always love returning to Seckford Hall. Every corner of the venue offers a new story to tell.
The morning began quietly, with Fred and his groomsmen getting ready outside in the Seckford Hall gardens.
Meanwhile, Chloe was getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite — calm, elegant, and full of excitement. The light streaming through the windows was perfect as her bridesmaids helped her into her dress.

The Ceremony: Emotions in Full Swing
Inside Seckford Hall’s ceremony room, guests waited in anticipation. When Chloe walked down the aisle with her dad, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight — including Fred’s. The room was full of emotion, smiles, and love, with every glance between them telling its own story.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and full of warmth, with guests smiling throughout and the couple clearly soaking up every second.

Confetti & Drinks on the Terrace
After the “I do’s,” everyone spilled outside for a joyful confetti moment — one of my favourite traditions. Even though the sun stayed tucked behind the clouds, the weather was still warm enough for everyone to enjoy drinks by the garden terrace and water.
The drinks reception was full of candid laughter and relaxed chats, with guests making the most of the peaceful garden views.

Portraits at the Front of Seckford Hall
While guests continued to enjoy their drinks, Chloe and Fred and I took a quiet 20 minutes for their couples portraits at the front of Seckford Hall. It’s one of my favourite parts of the day — a little breather where couples can soak in the moment together. The grand architecture of Seckford Hall made for a stunning backdrop.
When we returned, it was time for family photos in front of the water.
Afterwards, we headed over to the walled gardens for wedding party photos — the bridesmaids and groomsmen brought all the energy! These are always some of my favourites to capture: natural laughter, a few fun prompts, and plenty of personality.

A Marquee Full of Style, Speeches & Wedding Breakfast
Before guests were called in, I captured the marquee all set up and it was stunning. The couple’s classic black-and-white theme carried beautifully through the decor: sleek black tuxedos, crisp stationery, and elegant white roses surrounded by green foliage.
Each table had a personal touch too with childhood photos of the couple at that age.
Once everyone took their seats in the marquee, it was time for speeches before dinner. There were laughs, cheers, and plenty of emotion — with more than a few tears from Fred (which always makes for the best photos!).
After speeches, everyone tucked into their meal and then made their way back outside to enjoy the evening air. The sun still hadn’t made an appearance, but the warmth held — and it made for more relaxed candid moments by the water as the evening settled in.

First Dance & Confetti Canon Finale
As the day turned to night, the Seckford Hall ceremony room transformed into the evening dance floor. Guests gathered around for the first dance — a romantic moment that quickly turned into a full-blown celebration when a giant confetti canon went off mid-song!
The perfect finale to an incredible day, and from there… it was party time!
