There’s something rather lovely about getting to photograph my couples before their wedding day, and even better when I know I’ll be seeing them again next summer for the actual wedding!

I met up with Shannon and Dom at Snape Maltings in Suffolk for their engagement session, wandering around the beautiful riverside setting, chatting, laughing and capturing the two of them just being themselves. No complicated posing, no pressure to know what to do with their hands – just a relaxed couple’s session and plenty of time for them to get comfortable in front of the camera.

As a Suffolk engagement photographer, these sessions are one of my favourite parts of my wedding packages. They’re a chance for us to get to know each other properly before the wedding, and for my couples to discover that having a camera pointed at them really isn’t as terrifying as it might sound!

And this certainly won’t be the last time I photograph Shannon and Dom. Next summer, I’ll be heading to All Manor of Events to capture their Suffolk wedding day – and I absolutely cannot wait.
