Lauren and Michael’s beautiful black tie wedding this July was full of elegance, laughter, and a little weather drama that made it all the more memorable.

Lauren and Michael’s beautiful black tie wedding this July was full of elegance, laughter, and a little weather drama that made it all the more memorable.
A rainy start with a beautiful indoor ceremony
The classic British summer made an appearance on Lauren and Michael’s big day, and we quickly moved the ceremony indoors. Gosfield Hall’s stunning ceremony room rose to the occasion – filled with romantic chair sashes and timeless white rose bouquets created by the talented Tiger Lily Flowers Suffolk.
It might not have been their original plan, but the indoor ceremony looked incredibly romantic – and offered the perfect atmosphere for their heartfelt vows.

One of the many benefits of being a Gosfield Hall wedding photographer is knowing just how versatile the venue can be. With rain still coming down, we adapted the schedule and used the elegant interiors for their couples portraits and family group shots. The rich backdrops and soft window light created a timeless feel – perfectly suited to their black tie style.
Lauren and Michael embraced every change with such ease, making it a relaxed and joyful experience despite the weather.

Evening portraits, sparklers and drinks on the terrace
As the evening unfolded, the rain finally gave us a break – just in time for Lauren and Michael to enjoy a well-earned drink on the terrace with their guests. This moment was one they’d both dreamed of, and it was such a pleasure to capture them outside, soaking in the atmosphere.
The cherry on top? Evening sparklers. Despite the grey skies, it was intimate, joyful, and one of my favourite memories from the day.
