I’m pretty certain that in 10 years time the first thing we all think of when someone mentions “2020” won’t be weddings. However, despite the chaos of rescheduling, the uncertainty of whether weddings could still go ahead, the pool of guests wearing masks covering their smiles and the intimacy of weddings rising – 2020 really has been a year filled with some of my favourite weddings to capture.
As a wedding photographer, it’s not very often that you’re invited to capture a wedding with fewer than 30 people but if this year has taught me anything it’s that small, intimate weddings really do make for some of the most spectacular wedding days to capture.
2020 has taken me to some gorgeous new wedding venues (many of which I’ll be visiting again in 2021 – woohoo!) all around Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk and it really has been so special! I may have only been able to photograph 11 weddings this year (usually it’s 40 +), but these few weddings really have made an impression.
Choosing my favourite wedding photographs of 2020 was no easy decision, but below are some of my biggest highlight moments of the year.
Thank you all for your immense support this year, I really couldn’t have done any of this without the constant love, messages and kindness I receive from you all. For those of you who chose me to capture your intimate wedding this year, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to be your wedding photographer; and for those of your getting married in 2021 onwards, I cannot wait for us to have a blast together!
Lots of love, always,
